Walton-on-the-Wolds
Walton-on-the Wolds is a village in Leicestershire, on the Wolds and 4 miles from Loughborough.
St. Mary`s Church dates from the 18th century, with a 17th century tower. It replaced an earlier church, dedicated to St. Bartholomew, which had become ruinous and was demolished.
In the churchyard is a 12th century preaching cross.
Walton-on-the-Wolds has an attractive Village Green.
