Stoughton

Stoughton is a village in Leicestershire, 4 miles from Leicester.

It is pronounced "Stoat-n".

St. Mary`s Church has a crocketed spire, and a good Cross in the churchyard.

Much of the farmland nearby is owned by the Co-op, who formerly operated a tourist attraction known as Stoughton Farm Park.

The airfield at Stoughton is known as Leicester Airport, and is much used by light aircraft and for flying lessons.
