Spofforth is a village in Yorkshire, 3 miles from Wetherby.
All Saints Church has, in the churchyard, the grave of John Metcalf (Blind Jack of Knaresborough, 18th century roadbuilder).
Spofforth Castle, hewn out of the rock in the 14th century, was the original home of the mighty Percy family, before they moved to Alnwick. The ruins are now in the care of English Heritage.
Stockeld Park nearby is a Palladian mansion.
