Smockington is a hamlet in Leicestershire, 4 miles from Hinckley.
It is situated within the parish of Burbage.
The hamlet is along the A5 road, which is the famous Roman road named Watling Street. This was once an international frontier, between English England and Danish England, and is still the county boundary between Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
