Peckleton
Peckleton is a village, not much more than a hamlet, in Leicestershire, 2 miles from Desford.
St. Mary Magdalene`s Church, down a lane from the rest of the village, is mostly 14th century, although the piscina is a little earlier. There is some fine stained glass.
Peckleton Hall, near the church, is late Georgian.
Nearby is what appears to be a moated site, and it is believed that this may be site of the Sparkenhoe Moot.
There is a thriving annual Peckleton Music Festival.
