Newton Solney

Newton Solney is a small village in South Derbyshire, 3 miles from Burton-upon-Trent, and close to the River Trent.

St. Mary`s Church has a Norman door and 14th century memorial to Allured de Solney.

18th century Newton Park is now a hotel.

Bladon Castle, built of red brick, overlooks the village. It was designed by Jeffrey Wyatville as a folly, but was later extended to a house.
