Hullbridge
Hullbridge is a former hamlet in Essex, which now has housing estates and a pleasant green. It is on the South bank of the tidal River Crouch, and 3 miles from Rayleigh.
The former Anchor Inn, now known as Anchor Cottage, is close to the riverside and dated 1793.
Centuries ago a bridge carried the old road, a pilgrims` route, across the river to Woodham Ferrers.
There is a rare breeds farm in the vicinity.
