Horseshoe Pass
Horseshoe Pass is a mountain pass in the Clwyd district of North East Wales.
The A452, a superbly engineered road, crosses Maesyrychen Mountain via the pass, and there is a cafe and visitor centre, affording spectacular views.
The pass is about four miles North West of the splendid town of Llangollen on the River Dee, and links the Vale of Llangollen with the Vale of Clwyd.
Along the Horseshoe Pass there is much evidence of the local slate quarrying industry.
