Goathland
Goathland is an attractive moorland village in North Yorkshire, 7 miles from Whitby.
The restored North York Moors Railway has a station at Goathland.
St. Mary`s Church was built in the 1890s.
There is a large village green, where sheep freely roam.
The village is probably best known today as Aidensfield, setting for the nostalgic TV series "Heartbeat".
