Colden Common
Colden Common is a hamlet in Hampshire, a little to the South of Winchester and on the edge of the beautiful South Downs.
It is best known for the Marwell Zoological Park.
Marwell Zoo has a worldwide reputation, both for conservation and the breeding of rare and endangered species, which can be seen in large enclosures and paddocks.
It covers 100 acres of parkland, and houses over a thousand animals and birds.
A narrow gauge railway runs around the site.
