Colin Crosby Heritage Tours

Bracknell

Bracknell is a town in Berkshire, on the sandy heathland and 4 miles from Wokingham.

Not much more than a village until 1948, it was then chosen to be one of the post-war New Towns.

The 1960s pedestrianised shopping centre was one of the earliest to be built.

The Look-Out Countryside and Heritage Centre is popular with families and nature lovers.

In 1961, Bracknell became headquarters of the Meteorological Office, which moved to Exeter in 2004.

Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Bracknell for groups.
