Betws-y-Coed

Betws-y-Coed is a small inland resort in North Wales, on the edge of Snowdonia.

The village is on the lovely River Conwy, at the point where it is joined by the River Lledr and the River Llugwy.

Along the river are the Conwy Falls and the Swallow Falls, and nearby is Ty Hyll, known in English as The Ugly House.

The iron Waterloo Bridge was designed by Thomas Telford in 1815.

Betws-y-Coed is linked to the national rail network. Trains run from Llandudno Junction in the North and Blaenau Ffestiniog in the South.
