North Wales Tour (A Coach Trip in Snowdonia)

"North Wales Tour" is one of the outstanding Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These trips are a most enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

This is a tour around the splendid region of North Wales, revealing the rugged mountain splendour of Snowdonia as well as the seaside and one of the great castles of Wales.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station, in Leicester City Centre, at 8am, and arrives back about 9pm.

Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, pointing out places of interest and telling their stories in the inimitable manner that makes his excursions quite unique.

On this tour, there are three stops, of about an hour each.

Betws-y-Coed is a very pretty little place, in the valley of the River Conwy, with famous waterfalls.

Llanberis lies at the foot of Mount Snowdon itself, and is the terminus of the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which climbs to the summit. There are also museums and a lake railway.

Conwy has one of the magnificent castles built by Edward I as part of his plans to bring the Welsh under his control. It is a delightful little town.

There is also a short stop in the spectacular Llanberis Pass, where those with cameras can get some terrific photographs.
