Herefordshire Tour (A Coach Trip in Herefordshire)

"Herefordshire Tour" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These trips are an excellent way of getting to know some Local History.

This particular trip is around the picturesque county of Herefordshire, on the borders with Wales.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am, returning at about 9pm.

Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, bringing to life the fascinating places and sights encountered on the route. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips unique.

There are three stops along the way, each of about an hour.

Leominster is a fascinating old market town, with the outstanding Leominster Priory as its parish church.

Hereford is an ancient cathedral city on the River Wye. Hereford Cathedral is one of the ones that hold the Three Choirs Festival, and has a fine collection of historic buildings.

Ross-on-Wye has a wonderful situation overlooking the Wye, and was the home of the great benefactor John Kyrle, the Man of Ross.

The tour also includes the famous Black and White Villages and the lovely secluded Golden Valley.
