Dales and Peaks Tour (A Coach Trip in Derbyshire)

"Dales and Peaks Tour" is one of the Coach Trips devised and led as part of his year round programme by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These excursions are a great way of learning some Local History.

This is one of the trips that take place on a Sunday afternon, giving people the option of doing something else, such as going to church of course, on the Sunday morning.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in the City Centre of Leicester at 1pm, and is due back about 8pm.

Colin delivers his customary commentary along the way, explaining and bringing to life the many fascinating places and sights encountered along the route. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips quite unique.

This tour takes in some of the picturesque countryside of the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. The Peak District was England`s first National Park, and is partly gentle and partly rugged.

There is a stop for a couple of hours or so at the delightful village of Castleton. As well as opportunities for coffee etc, the enormous Peak Cavern is here, and the village is overlooked by the ruined Peveril Castle.
