Visit to Lovely Portmeirion
I went with my wife Anne on a Coach Trip to North Wales recently with Woods Coaches of Leicester.
This excursion was to Portmeirion on the coast of Gwynedd.
Created in a variety of styles by Clough Williams-Ellis, it was his attempt to show that a place of natural beauty need not be spoiled by adding buildings. He succeeded brilliantly.
During the 60s, Portmeirion was used by Patrick McGoohan for his TV drama series "The Prisoner".
It was well worth the visit.
