70th Birthday Party
A big event for me recently was my 70th birthday party.
It was held at St.Luke`s Church Hall at Stocking Farm in Leicester, and (unlike the surprise party five years earlier which really was a complete surprise) I was able to invite friends and family myself.
One of the highlights was that, for the first time in the history of the world, all my children (Theresa Kerry, Angela Mackie, Neil Crosby, Gillian Crosby, Kevin Crosby and Robin Crosby) and I were all in the same room at the same time!
There were photos and press cuttings from my long career managing cinemas and theatres around the walls, and a quiz to encourage guests to look at them.
My son Kevin (unbeknown to me) re-formed his old band. He, Tom and Kieran performed several blues and rock`n`roll songs.
It was lovely to have such a great collection of friends and family there, and it was a smashing evening.
