Pubs on a Cricket Theme
I went to another meeting recently of the Leicestershire Cricket Society at Grace Road in Leicester.
This time the speakers were Tony Collis and Geoff Wellstead, who spoke about pubs and old inns whose names were on a cricket theme.
There were quite a lot named "The Cricketers" or "Cricketers` Arms", but also a surprising number referring to famous players or fielding positions.
The Cricket Society is great for cricket lovers, giving us a focus to discuss the game we love during the long close season.
