Great Weekend at Greenbelt
I spent the weekend recently, with my wife Anne and friends, at the wonderful Greenbelt festival on Cheltenham Racecourse.
I have been going for several years now, and love it. Anne had been going for a while before I started. I was a bit dubious, but doubts turned out to be unfounded.
For me, the highlights are the music performances.
This year, among those I saw performing were the Austin Francis Connection; the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club; Eliza Carthy and Jim Moray; Fat and Frantic; Folk On; King Kool; Sam Lee and Friends; Lemar; the London Community Gospel Choir; Grace Petrie; Courtney Pine; Mama Rosin; Duke Special; and the Temperance Movement.
I love it!
