Cinema Manager Talk Over Dinner

I gave a talk recently to members of the Charnwood 51 Club, whose members come from the Loughborough area.

The talk was "The Adventures of the Bearded Cinema Manager", probably the most popular of all the talks I give.

It relates some of my adventures when coming into the entertainment industry as a trainee cinema manager, ten days short of my 21st birthday in 1963, at the Odeon Gants Hill.

Yes, there was a fair bit of glamour involved, and a lot of fun, but mostly very long hours and very hard work.

The talk was at the Six Hills Golf Club, just off the Fosse Way, and followed an excellent dinner.

If your members are of a certain age, they will probably relate to this talk!
