Christmas Lights at Sileby

When Christmas lights are switched on in a village, it is always an important date locally.

Recently I went to Sileby in Leicestershire to see the switch on of the lights.

I went with my wife Anne, her brother Jeff, his wife Steph, their little boy Jamie (those three live in Sileby) and my mother in law Betty, who lives in the neighbouring village of Barrow-upon-Soar.

As always, it was a jolly occasion, made even jollier by watching Jamie having rides on the roundabouts at the associated fair.
