Suffolk Coast Tour (A Coach Trip in Suffolk)

"Suffolk Coast Tour" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These excursions are a most enjoyable way of getting to know some Local History.

This is a tour around the coastal area of the delightful county of Suffolk, one of the most picturesque areas of England.

The coach departs from St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is expected back about 9pm.

Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, bringing to life the places and sights encountered along the way in his own inimitable manner. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips quite unique.

There are three stops on this excursion, each of about an hour.

Woodbridge is a busy little town on the tidal estuary of the River Deben, with an outstanding parish church beside Market Hill.

Aldeburgh is where Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears started the world renowned Aldeburgh Festival. Britten set his opera "Peter Grimes", based on a story by George Crabbe, at Aldeburgh.

Southwold is a sublime resort built around nine greens, with a famous lighthouse, beach huts and rebuilt pier pointing out into the North Sea.
