Famous Mystery Tour (A Coach Trip in Leicestershire)

[An image showing Famous Mystery Tour]The "Famous Mystery Tour" is a Coach Trip run annually by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours, as part of his wide range of walks and visits which take place throughout the year.

These excursions are a most enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 9.30am, and is due back around 2pm.

There is a non-returnable deposit of £5. However, it is better than free (it was formerly free) as each person who has paid the deposit and takes part receives a £10 voucher towards another trip.

Colin began runing this trip in 1995. It is to celebrate International Day of the Tourist Guide, when qualified guides across Europe give their services, mostly for Guided Walks.

The idea is to show that you are much better off being shown around any place, and being given a good idea of its history and heritage as well as its important points today, by a proper trained guide.

The tour is of course a Mystery Tour, so it is obviously not possible to give an itinerary.

But it shows, in essence, the beauty and history of Leicestershire and the lovely East Midlands.

The route changes each time, so even if you have been on one of the trips, another will show you more.

The "Famous Mystery Tour" is a very popular one indeed, so it is advisable to book as early as posible.
