The Haunted Capital (A Guided Walk in London)

“The Haunted Capital” is a ghostly Guided Walk around London devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These strolls are an enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

The walk starts outside St. Pauls Cathedral, by the Queen Anne statue, and takes in some of the most haunted parts of Old London Town.

London is without a doubt one of the most historic cities in the world, and is one of the most haunted ones as well.

Colin will be strolling around some of the lesser-known streets of the capital.

The Grey Friars, not far from St. Paul’s, is the scene of a number of hauntings by famous people, and the ancient church of St. Bartholomew the Great is haunted by its founder.

The walk will also encompass a plague pit, the yard where a great lady was punished for dancing with the devil and the extraordinary story of “Scratching Fanny”.

But probably the most frightening part is the nameless and loathsome thing that is sometimes seen near Ave Maria Lane.

“The Haunted Capital” is one of two Haunted Walks that Colin leads in London. The other is called simply “Haunted London”. He also leads several of these walks in Leicester.
