Lichfield (A Coach Trip in Lichfield)

"Lichfield" is the destination for one of the fascinating Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These excursions are a first class way of getting to know some Local History.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am, and is expected back around 8pm.

Along the way, Colin gives his customary commentary, bringing to life the sights and places encountered along the way. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips quite unique.

Lichfield is a historic cathedral city in Staffordshire, famous not only for its lovely cathedral, with its three spires, but also for its illustrious sons Samuel Johnson and Erasmus Darwin.

Colin leads a Guided Walk around Lichfield as part of the trip, pointing out many places of interest, including Lichfield Cathedral, the Market Place, Dr. Johnsons Birthplace and the Erasmus Darwin House.

An added attraction is that this excursion takes place on Lichfield`s market day.
