City Gardens (A Guided Walk in London)

"City Gardens" is one of a number of Guided Walks in London devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These gentle strolls are an enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

The starting point is outside St. Pauls Cathedral, beside the Queen Anne Statue.

On this particular walk, Colin follows a route that takes in lots of pocket gardens, most of which go unnoticed by most people who visit or work in the City.

Many of them have been converted from former churchyards.

Along the way, Colin includes snippets of history, as well as the Watts Memorial in Postmen`s Park and glimpses of London`s ancient wall.

Among other walks which Colin leads in London are "Churches of London", "Street Names of London", "London`s Lost Riverside" and "Bow Bells".
